According to SkySportsNews the Hammers have made an enquiry with a view to bringing the striker to Upton Park initially on a loan deal although it is also reported that the player's agent has said the 25-year-old striker is not looking for any loan deal.
After the departure of Carlos Tevez the Hammers have been desperately short of a creative spark up front and the player who has scored no less than 25 times for his country would represent a huge coup for Manager Alan Curbishley and Chairman Eggert Magnusson.
