Brooking plays down Collymore talk

Former Liverpool, Notts Forest and Aston Villa striker Collymore has indicated he would like to return to the game but Brooking says he knows nothing of the media reports that he could be coming to Upton Park.

"I must say I hadn't heard it and it hadn't got to that stage," Brooking told the Hammers official website.

"I am sure if Stan wants to start playing again he will be talking to plenty of people but it certainly wasn't imminent with us."
